WALMART+ · INCLUSIVE GROWTH · LAUNCHED
A membership story built aroundindependence, not just convenience.
I found an audience Walmart+ was overlooking: people for whom delivery could mean access and independence. I turned that insight into the pricing story and acquisition experience. The work produced 83K conversions over control and 33K new subscriptions.

IMPACT
THE OPPORTUNITY WAS HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT
The category talked about convenience.A more meaningful need was sitting beside it.
Delivery meant more than convenience for this audience. Health, mobility, caregiving, or transportation could make a routine trip difficult. A reliable delivery service gave people another way to get what they needed.
That insight became the audience-led growth strategy I originated and carried through narrative, price transparency, and the acquisition experience.
We stopped treating delivery as a convenience perk and showed what it could change in someone’s day.

Independence before convenience
Position delivery as agency, access, and control.
Clarity before commitment
Make price, mechanics, and expectations visible early.
Respect before optimization
Write directly, avoid sentimentality, and never reduce the audience to a stereotype.

THE EXPERIENCE MODEL
Strategy, writing, and interaction designbecame one connected decision.
The page needed to name the audience without speaking for them, explain the value without slipping into ad copy, and show the price before asking for much in return. Writing, visual design, and interaction all had to work together.
TRUST WAS DESIGNED INTO THE MECHANICS
Trust came from the sequence. Not another layer of persuasion.
The page moved in a simple order: I see you, here is how this could help, here is what it costs, and here is a next step you can undo. People could explore the membership without being pushed.
Recognize
Name the audience before the offer.
Explain
Connect benefits to daily independence.
Clarify
Put price and commitment before pressure.
Keep control
Let people explore before asking for information.
